This design recreates the strategic naval and land campaign against Spanish forces in Cuba and Puerto Rico. One player controls the American and Cuban units, while the other controls the Spanish ones. The game is divided into separate but closely related land and sea systems, with tactical maps representing the four main Spanish Caribbean ports—Havana, Santiago, San Juan, and Cienfuegos. The campaign game combines both of these into one strategic game, which takes place across all five maps (one strategic and four tactical, on three 22”x34” map sheets). Additional systems are introduced for tracking coal supply, naval searches, special naval operations, and random events. Using separate land and sea commanders, up to four players can participate.
